Thin film panel production tips

1. Panel is a widely used technology in product design. Usually made of thin film screen printing glue, used for display, control and beautification of products. Greatly reduce the cost of buttons and Windows, with high aesthetics and sealing. This process is widely used in instruments, equipment, electronics, household appliances, machinery and other fields. The design of the film mainly lies in three aspects: substrate, adhesive backing and printing process, which will be explained below. 1. Substrate substrate is the material of thin film panel. Commonly used substrates are PVC, PC and PET. In addition, PMMA is often used to make panels (acrylic is a sheet, not a film). PVC is polyvinyl chloride, cheap, high temperature resistance (50℃). Used to be widely used panel materials, now gradually replaced by PC and PET. Apart from the price, its other properties are inferior to PC and PET(adhesive adhesion to PET is not significant).

2. The knowledge of gum is too professional, here is a brief introduction. The commonly used film is 3M9080A double-sided adhesive, which is a kind of non-woven substrate double-sided adhesive, and can withstand the high temperature of 90℃ for a long time. Adhesive is mixed, durability, temperature resistance, waterproof performance is very different, so in the membrane plate process requirements to mark the adhesive number. About 3M glue, the common 3M double-sided glue mainly has no bottom glue, non-woven fabric (cotton paper) bottom glue, transparent PET glue, foam glue, etc. There are many subdivisions under each category, as well as special insulating and conductive adhesives. Foam based double-sided tape has better adhesion, but also has the effect of shockproof and shading. If you choose foam based double-sided tape, pay attention to the selection of its thickness.

3. Screen printing is usually used to print thin film panels, which is commonly known as screen printing. Screen printing refers to screen printing based on the production of screen printing with text and text. According to the basic principle of screen printing plate, graphic mesh can be through the ink, non graphic mesh can not be through the ink. The characteristics of screen printing determine that color gradient of monochrome package, transparent gradient (can be achieved by controlling the number of mesh changes) and color gradient are difficult to achieve, so special attention should be paid to avoid gradient effect in the design process.
